The Museum of Broadway is open in New York, a stone's throw from Times Square and its giant screens.

Despite the rich museum and cultural infrastructure, the American metropolis has not yet had a museum entirely dedicated to the history of Broadway and its theaters, which formed the identity of New York and bring in up to $30 million in box office receipts every week.

The exhibits of the Museum of Broadway, located on three levels, tell about the almost 200-year history of American musicals, of which over 500 have been staged during this time.

Separate halls are dedicated to works that have gone down in the history of musicals, such as "The Phantom of the Opera" (the show of which will be discontinued in February 2023 after a record 35 years on the stage), "The Lion King", "The Wizard of Oz".

The COVID-19 pandemic brought New York to its knees and forced the closure of about 18 Broadway theaters for 18 months. But for a year now, the public has been filling their halls again.
