In the Komi Republic, two new protected areas have been created within the framework of the national project "Ecology", as well as within the framework of the implementation of the Scheme for the Development and Placement of Specially Protected Natural Areas of Republican Importance. 

The protected areas "Watershed of the Pyssa and Sodzima" and "Karpogorsky" appeared in the Udora district, Komiinform reports.

In total, the area of ​​protected areas in Komi will be increased by 113,470 hectares.
