The future Kazan Marina resort will become a new magnet for travelers in Tatarstan and the first tourist center with a full-cycle marina built on the Volga in at least the last 30 years. The Tourism.RF corporation reported this on its website.
The master plan for creating the resort was discussed at a meeting of the corporation's board of directors with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“On an area of 72.8 hectares, it is planned to build nine investment lots with hotel facilities of various categories with a room capacity of 1,250 rooms. The water space of the Volga and Kama rivers became the basis for the creation of a full-cycle yacht marina for 300 yachts,” the statement says.
As noted in the corporation, the marina will become one of the centers of the interregional tourist route “Great Volga Road”, passing through the territory of the modern Volga Federal District in the area of the historical northern part of the Great Silk Road.
