The guests will hear a majestic instrument accompanied by a choir, grand piano, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, bass guitar, drums, Scottish bagpipes and Irish whistle, according to the Perm Regional Philharmonic Society.
For the first time in the history of the festival, a duet of organ and theremin will be presented. Such a concert program will be performed by Moscow musicians - laureate of international competitions, organist Maria Cherepanova and great-grandson of the inventor of the theremin, Pyotr Termen.
“Playing the theremin looks like real magic: the performer moves his hands in the air without touching the musical instrument, and sounds emerge from the air, which the artist Nicholas Roerich called “the music of the spheres,” the organizers of the festival note.
A special guest will be the prima donna of the Russian opera stage, Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Tatarstan, laureate of international competitions Albina Shagimuratova (Moscow).
In addition, various performing organ schools will be represented by Natalia Letyuk, Fedor Stroganov (Moscow), Olga Bestuzheva (Nizhny Novgorod), Timur Khaliullin (Belgorod), Elena Kozemirenko (Khanty-Mansiysk), Yuri Gabrus (Belarus), Luka Gadelia (Abkhazia).
The organists will perform with the Nizhny Novgorod chamber choir, the Classy Jazz ensemble conducted by Oleg Matveev (Moscow), the EFI ethnofuturistic theater (Khanty-Mansiysk), the Portraits Fa Diez vocal and instrumental ensemble (Khanty-Mansiysk), the singer Kristina Eshba, soprano (Abkhazia), soloist of the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra Shozo Tsumori, trumpet (Japan), People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Ginzburg, artistic word (Perm).
The festival will be subject to coronavirus restrictions.
