The highest sand castle ever created in the world has been erected in the Danish resort of Blokhus on the North Sea coast.
The height of the sand structure with a total weight of almost 5,000 tons reaches 21.16 meters. The castle, made in the form of a pyramid, is more than three meters higher than the sand citadel, which was built in Germany and entered into the Guinness Book of Records in 2019.
The sand sculpture in the Blokhuswas built thanks to a wooden structure that holds tons of sand, partially mixed with clay and fixed with glue in order to protect the statue from destructive winds.
According to the creator of the Dutchman Wilfred Stijger, who was assisted by 30 of the best sand sculptors, their creation symbolizes the power of Covid-19 over the world. The coronavirus bacterium is at the top of the castle, crushing the climbing people who are doing everything possible to defeat the viral infection.
