A large-scale race along the banks of the Vishera River "Parma Trail: Poljud-Vetlan" will take place on March 11 in the Perm Territory. It will pass along the popular tourist route of the reserve along the banks of the Vishera River to the tops of the mountains - Polyuda and Vetlana. Roszapovedtsentr reported this on its website.
Those wishing to take part in the race will be able to choose one of three distances: 25 km (running), 10 km (running) and 10 km (nordic walking).
“Participants of the trail will start on the banks of the Vishera River from the territory of the tourist center of the reserve and climb the Vetlan rock, one of the most beautiful and highest rocks on the Ural River Vishera, famous for its beauty.
The most active will go further - cross the Vishera and climb Poljud - a mountain in the Krasnovishersky district of the Perm Territory, which is a protected landscape of regional significance," the Roszapovedtsentr said.
The peak, 527 meters above sea level, has an elongated character and is covered mainly with coniferous forest. On the slopes of Polyud, the tributaries of the Chernaya and Petrunikha rivers originate.
"The mountain offers picturesque views of the Vetlan stone and the Pomyanenny (Kolchimsky) stone - the western spur of the Ural Range, which is also a natural monument of regional significance," the report says.
The sports and tourist event in the Vishersky Reserve will bring together professional runners and amateur athletes from the Perm Territory and other regions of the country.
