From March 29 to 31, residents and guests of the Karelian city of Kemi will take part in the fair-festival "Ya-Ya, Kemska Volost". They will enjoy Pomeranian winter outdoor fun, creative workshops, contests and northern cuisine in the open air. This was announced by the official portal of the Republic of Karelia.
"I am I, Kemska Volost!" – an opportunity to see the White Sea and taste real Pomeranian fish soup," the message says.
Thus, the Pomeranian Culture Day will be celebrated on March 29. Master classes on doll making will be held for the guests, and a performance "How Kemska Volost appeared" will be shown. Goods and souvenirs from northern craftsmen will be available at the fair. In addition, the exhibition of family creativity "Northern Doll" will open on this day.
On March 30, on the Sea Day, competitive fishing, the pentathlon "The First Winter Pomeranian Games", a cooking show, a parade of snowmobiles, a motorcycle tank and other equipment, a concert of the Pomeranian Russian Folk Choir will be held. In addition, on this day, guests will be able to experience a master class in Nordic walking and a costumed scandi marathon with an excursion to the Pomorie Museum. Also, the participants of the festival will enjoy fair festivities and round dances, Pomeranian games and fun, competitions of family teams in the game "Kyukkya". And in the evening, the audience will see a hockey tournament.
On Pomeranian Cuisine Day, March 31, culinary workshops, tasting of Pomeranian cuisine and other activities will be held.
