The annual festival “In Ryazan - mushrooms with eyes” will take place on September 30 in one of the most beautiful places in the Ryazan region, the village of Laskovo. The region's Tourist Information Center reported this on its website.
“In the local pine and spruce lands, mushroom pickers have been collecting record harvests of chanterelles, boletus, boletus and boletus for many years in a row. However, the main mushroom inhabitants of the surroundings of Laskow are considered to be Polish white and boletus mushrooms. It is from them that the festival participants annually cook a delicious treat for guests - aromatic soup. Last year, more than a hundred liters were prepared and eaten! Perhaps this time the record will be broken,” the message says.
The festival begins with a mushroom picking championship - participants go to the nearest forests for four hours to search. They will compete in the categories of “the largest mushroom found” and “the smallest”, “the most unusual mushroom”, “a mushroom with beneficial properties”, “the largest number of collected mushrooms” and others.
After the championship, judges will be waiting for the participants to weigh the mushrooms they brought and determine whether there are any poisonous specimens in the “catch.”
“The most unusual forest gifts, as well as bouquets, accessories, paintings and everything made from natural forest materials will be presented at the exhibition,” the information center said.
