The official website of the Kamchatka Territory reported that on September 9, a festival dedicated to the conservation of the gyrfalcon will be held in the ethno-village in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The event is dedicated to Falcon Day.
On the territory of the ethno-village, in the exhibition tent “Falcon House”, information will be placed on the popularization of the Red Book birds of Kamchatka, their protection and conservation. In addition, videos about the Kamchatka falcon center and its inhabitants will be broadcast there.
At the festival site there will be a photo zone with animators in old Russian historical costumes from the Zmey Gorynych club. Visitors will be able to take part in master classes on making thematic souvenirs or purchase something as a souvenir at the exhibition of products of Kamchatka masters of decorative and applied arts.
In the open-air summer reading room you will be able to read literature and scientific articles about birds of prey in Kamchatka. Students and teachers of the children's art school will organize plein air painting of a falcon from life.
The festival program also includes performances by vocal and choreographic ensembles and folklore groups, a children's drawing competition “The Legend of the Falcon”, interactive games for children and a music youth festival of modern ethnic culture “Pero”.
