The contest «Health of the planet? In my hands!» has started

Today, on the World Wildlife Day, the International Children's Creative Contest “Health of the planet? In my hands!» has commenced. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, children under 17 years old can take part in it. The main prize is a trip to the Baikal International School (Republic of Buryatia) and other reserves of Russia.

The competition is held in six categories: "Visual Arts", "Computer Graphics", "Sculpture", "Hand-made", "Video" and "Literary Work".

According to the organizers, the purpose of the competition is the development of «environmental thinking» among the young generation, the formation of a careful attitude to nature and environmental literacy.

The winners will be determined by experts of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov at the Russian Academy of Arts. The awarding ceremony will take place in Moscow in early June and will be held as part of the Ecologist's Day.

The Ministry of Nature Protection reminded that the contest "Health of the planet? In my hands!» , held since 2012, has an archive of more than 17 thousand creative works on ecology and environmental protection. Competitors from Russia, Belarus, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Finland took an active part in it.

Applications will be accepted until April 15, 2020.

The competition is supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Federation Council, Rosprirodnadzor, Moscow State Agricultural Academy named after V.I. Surikova and Russian Railways.
