The rhododendron ledebourii Flowering Festival will be held on April 29 in the Altai Territory, it traditionally opens the summer tourist season in the region, according to the event website.
During this period, thousands of tourists go to Altai.
“The end of April - the beginning of May is the time of flowering of the rhododendron ledebourii. Lush flowering can be observed on open sunny slopes and more restrained - in the shade of trees on the banks of the Katun. On the territory of the Turquoise Katun tourist complex, within walking distance from the main site of the holiday, you can see a rhododendron ledebourii blooming. This place is popular with tourists, here personal photo collections are replenished with unique shots,” the organizers said on the festival website.
Guests will be able to go on excursions to a blooming places, test their strength on a climbing wall, walk along the craft rows, participate in a master class in freeroup (walking on a tightrope), visit a rural hospitality zone and a regional cuisine fair.
At the festival, several wooden houses will be equipped, which will accommodate teams of cooks from the Altai Territory. They will offer the guests of the holiday dishes from real Altai products - gastronomic specialties.
