The best cheese will be chosen at the festival in the Moscow region

From August 5 to August 7, the gastronomic festival "Cheese Fest Mir" will be held in Istra, near Moscow. More than 300 people are expected to attend.

The press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow Region reported that the main task of the festival is to support Russian farmers and artisans.

“The Cheese Pir Mir Festival has become one of the main gastronomic events of the summer for residents of the Moscow region. This year it will bring together representatives of farms and wineries, as well as craftsmen and craftsmen from more than 50 regions of Russia.

Entrance to the festival will be free and free for everyone. Guests can taste and purchase natural farm products, attend a concert or take part in master classes. At the same time, it will be possible to try not only cheeses, but also other farm products - meat, dairy and bakery products, wine and beer, fish and honey.

Visitors to Cheese Fest Mir 2022 will also have an exhibition of agricultural machinery from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, a food court, photo zones and a program for children with trampolines and play spaces.

In addition, a large wine tent will be erected at the festival. In this location, it will be possible to taste and buy products from more than 20 leading manufacturers from the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, Volgograd and Rostov Regions, the Republic of Dagestan, Crimea and Sevastopol.

On the second day of the festival, August 6, the Cheese Sommelier, a federal network of cheese shops in Russia, will hold a contest called The Best Cheese of Russia. This year, more than 200 cheese makers from all over Russia will take part in it. The jury will include Russian and foreign experts in the cheese industry, cheese makers and chefs.
