The Pacha Mama alpaca park achieved such indicators in less than two months of operation. It was opened at the Rosa Khutor resort on August 20, 2023 at an altitude of 1100 meters. For the lovely inhabitants of the Peruvian Andes, they created a special area with stunning views of the Caucasus Mountains.

⁃ Today there are 21 alpacas in the Pacha Mama park. All animals were born in Peru, arrived in Sochi from various European nurseries, went through quarantine and adapted very well. Now all the females, which are 17 alpacas, are already expecting offspring. So literally in the spring we will have a new addition,” said Diana Iskhakova, manager of the Pacha Mama alpaca park at the Rosa Khutor resort.

In their homeland of Peru, alpacas are considered pets; they are very sociable and inquisitive. Therefore, the animals gladly welcome guests in the mountains of Sochi.

⁃ The diet of alpacas is based on hay and compound feed. But the most important treat for them is carrots. We offer all guests of our park to treat alpacas with this delicacy. Alpacas cannot overeat. You can eat only 1.2 kg of carrots per day, they said in the Pacha Mama park.

For a treat, alpacas are happy to let you stroke their soft, cloud-like woolen back. Such communication with animals is not just entertainment, but real anti-stress therapy.

⁃ Any interaction with people should be a joy for animals. Therefore, we limit the number of visitors,” noted the Pacha Mama alpaca park.

You can get to the place where the alpacas live, feed and hug them, by taking a free shuttle from Rosa Shelter at the top station of the Olympia cable car or by walking literally 15 minutes along the Lake Traverse trail from the Mountain Olympic Village. Pacha Mama Park is open from 10:00 to 19:00. Considering that in the Peruvian Andes, alpacas live at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters above sea level and easily tolerate frost, the alpaca park at the Rosa Khutor resort will be open in the winter season.

It is worth saying that alpacas are not the only inhabitants of Pacha Mama. Their neighbors are fluffy rabbits of the French Ram breed, whose “ear span” reaches half a meter, and cute sheep, among which there are rare representatives of the species with four horns. The park also features a children's playground, photo zones and art objects, a fire pit with a live fire, and a gift shop. By the winter season, a cafe of Peruvian cuisine will also be open here.
