Currently, a project for the construction of the Aina Valley resort is being implemented in the region. His master plan was approved in September of this year. The project promises to become a center of attraction for lovers of skiing and ecotourism. The first guests are scheduled to be received in 2027.

18 tourist infrastructure facilities with more than 2,600 rooms are planned on the tourist territory with an area of 101.3 hectares. "Aina Valley" can become a major tourist hub. While living in the resort, it will be easy to visit the most famous sights of the Sakhalin region.

The regional authorities expect that due to the implementation of the project, the tourist flow to Sakhalin can double by 2030 and amount to about 635 thousand guests per year.
