The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has extended a 'work from home' approach for staff at the TAT Head Office and all domestic offices until 31 January 2021, with the reopening date rescheduled for Monday, 1 February 2021, according to a Press Release from TAT.
TAT previously asked its staff to work from home from 4-17 January 2021, in line with the Thai government’s several nationwide measures under the ninth-extended Emergency Decree to contain the local COVID-19 transmission. Among the measures are the closure of at-risk businesses and venues, a ban on any at-risk gatherings and activities, and restrictions on interprovincial travel.
During work from home, TAT staff have been instructed to adhere to the policy of the Thai tourism industry to provide and maintain quality services. At the same time, they are advised to strictly follow DMHTT precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19: D-Distancing, M-Mask wearing, H-Hand washing, T-Temperature check, and T-Thai Chana contact tracing application.
TAT would like to take this opportunity to remind all to also take the DMHTT precautions and be a part of the nationwide effort to contain the local COVID-19 transmission.
The statement from TAT also apologises for any inconvenience should international and domestic tourists be unable to contact our offices during this time of difficulty. TAT remains contactable for tourism information 24/7 at the TAT Contact Centre.
