After the birth of the animals, it is planned to send them to their native places - to Southeast Asia in Indochina. Oddly enough, but elephants are not enough in these countries: the population of Indian individuals is 50 thousand, while African ones are 12 times more - 600 thousand. At the same time, only one elephant is born for every 10 elephants that die.
"This is due to anthropogenic pressure. Due to the expansion of industrial production, the elephant population is declining. In addition, ivory still affects the decline of animals. And their habitats are cut down and built up. Therefore,we decided that the future project is designed to help in this mission. There is a lot of space in Russia, and the subtropical climate of Sochi is as favorable as possible for these animals," - noted the author of the project, the founder of the only "Elephant Park" in Sochi in the country Andrey Dementiev-Kornilov.
While the organizers are developing a development plan. It is planned to create an indoor enclosure with a bathing area. This will provide elephants with unhindered access to nature, allow them to move freely and go outside at any time, where everyone who wants to can communicate with them. It is planned to build a glamping for 100 people nearby. The total cost of the project is estimated at half a billion rubles.
"The ideal number of pets is eight, a maximum of ten together with newborns, and a minimum of four. Elephants can be bought and brought from Indochina. The market value of an animal is from 150 thousand euros," - explained the founder of the only "Elephant Park" in the country, Honored Artist of Russia, trainer of the famous circus dynasty Andrey Dementiev-Kornilov.
Now the park already has two elephants - Pretty, 33 years old, and Margot, 17 years old. Elephants live as long as people,so Margot may become a mother in the near future. In Russia, there are "20 elephants, including circus ones from the Durov and Zapashny dynasties, as well as in zoos.
