On the eve of the new holiday season, the city has increased the level of quality control of wastewater treatment. This was reported by the press service of the Sochi administration.
- The increased load on Vodokanal facilities is being recorded in the city. 267.2 thousand cubic meters of wastewater pass through the city's treatment facilities per day. In order to preserve environmental safety at the resort, including the Black Sea, quality control of wastewater treatment has been strengthened at all facilities, which undergo a complex multi-stage treatment system. The final stage is UV disinfection. Wastewater samples for chemical and bacteriological studies are carried out at all stages of purification. A bacteriological analysis of wastewater and a study of treated wastewater for the viability of pathogenic protozoa are also being carried out, the press service of the Sochi administration noted.
The quality of processing is confirmed by hundreds of daily studies by engineers from an accredited laboratory, which has already increased the planned performance of analyses by 20%. Special attention is paid to nature conservation areas. Since the beginning of the year, 130 regulations have been issued in Sochi to eliminate violations. The necessary measures have been taken on all the facts.
