Sochi began to receive guests

According to the press service of the Sochi administration, over the first three days of summer more than 1,000 guests arrived in the city. All of them are required to have a ticket to the sanatorium and a certificate with a negative result for coronavirus. At all transport hubs of the city - at the airport, at railway stations and at the Magri road post, separate racks are equipped for those arriving at health resorts. Administration employees check with vacationers the availability of tickets to the sanatorium, as well as certificates about the clean epidemic environment and the absence of COVID-19.

One of the main requirements of Rosportrebnadzor to the sanatoriums this year is the organization of the transfer of vacationers from railway stations and from the airport. Among other recommendations are the installation of sanitizers in public areas, additional disinfection of spaces, one person in a room except for families, a weekly coronavirus test for all employees of the health resort, and much more.

The opportunity to take tourists in the context of the coronavirus pandemic received a total of 79 health resorts in Sochi that have a medical license. Many are expected to open within two weeks.

Bella Tarasova, member of the board of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, general director of the Sochi Riviera tour operator, Sochi, noted that Sochi's sanatorium is currently receiving only 10-20 percent of possible guests. She emphasized that a mass check-in at the sanatorium in early summer cannot be expected, but, on the other hand, the sanatoriums got time to work out new mechanisms for receiving guests.
