Sochi and Kalmykia connected by direct trains

Starting from July 23, a regular passenger railway service has been opened along the Elista-Adler route. Direct flights are provided once every two weeks.

“Two trailer cars, a compartment and a reserved seat, are connected to the Elista-Anapa train,” said Naran Kyukeyev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia.

The train will depart from Elista at 15:55 and arrive in Adler at 15:05 the next day. Travel time will be 23 hours. The train will depart back from Anapa at 18:00, arrival in Elista - the next day at 15:01, travel time - 21 hours. The fare from Elista to Adler will be from 2,621 rubles in a compartment, from 2,475 rubles in a reserved seat.

- Adler is one of the most popular travel destinations in Russia. Tourists also choose Anapa, Novorossiysk and Kislovodsk. Due to the large tourist flow, about 1.5 thousand additional trains have been appointed since May. Seasonal flights connected Adler with Moscow, Volgograd and Tolyatti. Since May 1, more than 4.8 million passengers have used trains in communication with the south of Russia, the Russian Railways press service noted.
