Sochi airport plans to build a new terminal

Its construction will start in 2024. The area of the airport complex will be 40 thousand square meters. The project provides for the construction of a transition between the existing complex, the development of service and technical territory.

- After the implementation of the project, the airport's capacity will increase by 1.5 times - up to 4.5 thousand passengers per hour, then - up to 5.5 thousand. The airport will serve about 20 million passengers a year, said Aleksey Komarov, managing director of the airport.

The new passenger terminal of Sochi airport may open by 2026. The total investment in infrastructure projects of the airport is planned to be more than 20 billion rubles, including 15 billion rubles will be invested in the terminal and the forecourt. At the end of 2022, Sochi's passenger traffic amounted to 13 million people, setting a record for the entire history of its operation. By the level of 2021, the indicator increased by 17%.
