The press service of the Land of the Leopard National Park reported that cedar seedlings were planted near the village of Andreevka in the Khasan district of Primorye - at the Gamovsky cluster site. A few years ago, the forests in these places suffered from fires. Restoration went primarily due to shrubs and broad-leaved species, which violates the existing balance of the ecosystem.
According to experts, adding cedars to the site will help preserve and increase the population of birds and animals that are used to living in coniferous forests.
The planting was carried out by employees of the environmental service Save the Forest. At the moment, the seedlings are doing well and should show excellent survival thanks to the rains and the professionalism of the foresters.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
