The street part of the festival of the Far Eastern scallop "On the crest" will be held in Vladivostok on July 1-2 on the embankment of the Sportivnaya Gavan. This was reported by the Tourist Portal of Primorsky Krai.
“The participants will be 15 restaurants of the city, which will present street food options from scallop and other products of the Far Eastern cuisine. A delicious and fun program awaits guests of the holiday,” the message says.
As the portal notes, the seaside scallop is not just one of the favorite shellfish among the inhabitants of the Far East, a tasty and nutritious product, but also a symbol of the association of restaurants and the study of local cuisine. It is considered one of the gastronomic brands of the region.
“Chahan with scallop, scallop gobajou, scallop in citrus sauce, eclairs with scallop parfait – the creative approach of Vladivostok chefs knows no bounds. Guests of the festival will be able to taste dozens of dishes of the Far Eastern cuisine and appreciate the skill of the chefs in preparing the famous delicacy.
Chefs will hold master classes and lectures, share recipes, compete in the ability to open scallop shells at speed.
The organizers will hold drawings, the winners of which will receive certificates for dinner at a restaurant or a helicopter ride. The program includes a sailing regatta and a film screening.
Together with street events, the restaurant part of the festival will also open, which will unite more than 230 establishments in 40 cities of Russia from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. This year the festival will be held for the sixth time.
