Saudi Arabia began issuing tourist visas to citizens of 11 countries since Sunday, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency with reference to the Kingdom's Ministry of Interior.
The list includes countries where coronavirus cases are showing stability, including the UAE, Germany, USA, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, France and Japan.
Passengers arriving in Saudi Arabia must provide a vaccination certificate confirming that they have received an approved vaccination, in accordance with guidelines issued by the Kingdom's General Directorate of Civil Aviation. Approved vaccines include Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen.
While the WHO has not yet approved the Sputnik V vaccine, Russian hajj operators cannot guarantee that Muslims from Russia will be allowed into Saudi Arabia to perform the hajj.
