Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov visited the Kemerovo region, where, together with the head of the region Sergey Tsivilev, they checked the progress of construction within the framework of major tourist investment projects. In particular, they visited the infrastructure facilities of the Sheregesh sports and tourism complex under construction, which is planned to be brought to the world level. This was announced on its website by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
"We visited the facilities of the Sheregesh resort. I am sure that this will be a high bar here, which all other investors will reach for. But the governor's intention alone to become one of the world's top five ski resorts by 2030 is a very ambitious task. We must all mobilize and help realize this goal," Chernyshenko's words are quoted in the message.
The development plan of the territory provides for the construction of 37 apartment complexes with more than 7.5 thousand rooms, as well as thermal pools, shops, restaurants and spa centers with bath complexes. The total investment volume is more than 60 billion rubles.
In addition, the guests appreciated the quality and potential of the existing tourist infrastructure of the Sheregesh complex, which is being developed, among other things, thanks to the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry".
"Several hotel projects have already been supported under the preferential loan program. Only within the framework of the third stage of the program, which ended in February, investors will receive preferential loans for the implementation of five new hotel projects. This is almost 850 rooms," the Ministry of Energy quotes Deputy Minister Vakhrukov as saying.
As Chernyshenko noted, the tourist flow to Kuzbass exceeds the pre-nominal figures and, according to the forecast, in 2024 it will amount to 810 thousand people. The region received funds from the federal budget for the development of tourism, which are used, among other things, to create roads, communications, tour clusters and routes.
