The Youth Club of the Russian Geographical Society on the basis of the Tver branch of the Society invites people related to geography, ecology, or simply those who love nature and who want to help the reserve to an ecological volunteer school.
It will be held from 7 to 13 September in the Tver region in the southwestern part of the Valdai Upland on the territory of the Central Forest Reserve.
Young people between the ages of 18 and 30 are invited to participate.
The school program consists of theoretical and practical parts, and also includes thematic projects.
For seven days, the school participants will be able to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the nature of the central zone of Russia and the Tver region.
At the end of the work the participants will be given certificates and gifts.
The organizers cover the costs of the way from Tver to the school and back, as well as accommodation and meals for the participants during the event.
The application can be submitted until August 21. Detailed information can be found in the Competition Regulations.
The Central Forest State Natural Biosphere Reserve is a unique natural area, representing indigenous spruce forests on the main watershed of the Russian Plain. On the territory of the reserve you can find about 240 species of birds, 56 species of mammals, five species of reptiles, as well as six species of amphibians. Tourists come to the reserve to see lynx, brown bear, muskrat, golden eagle and other animals.
