The Russian Environmental Forum is considered the largest industry event that brings together the main players in the MSW management sector. It is expected that over 2500 people will visit it.
The forum will bring together representatives of the state apparatus, industry experts and entrepreneurs. In particular, the event will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko, Head of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov and General Director of the Russian Ecological Operator Denis Butsaev.
Among the main topics that the participants will discuss are green finance and ESG, extended producer responsibility, and investment projects in the industry.
In addition, the reform of waste management has become a cross-cutting topic of the REF - the forum is a place to discuss the intermediate results of the reform, identify pressing problems and the most acute points, and also search for new solutions.
The forum will be the main event of the Russian Ecological Week, which runs from 10 to 16 October. This educational campaign aims to promote a responsible attitude towards the environment.
During the week, various promotions, educational lessons, marathons, competitions and master classes will be held. The organizers plan to attract the widest audience to the events: from schoolchildren to representatives of the state apparatus.
