The regional stage of the educational project of the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation «School of Public Diplomacy» has started in Krasnoyarsk. The general partner is Norilsk Nickel.

In Krasnoyarsk, the 3rd stage of the All-Russian competitive educational program “peoples of Russia. School of Public Diplomacy” will run from 21 to 25 June.

As part of the regional stage, there will be panel discussions, round tables, lectures, a meeting with public organizations of the indigenous peoples of the North, representatives of state institutions of Krasnoyarsk, master classes on grant support, as well as a meeting with representatives of the presidential envoy's office in the Siberian Federal District.

The project is dedicated to preserving the nature, traditions and culture of indigenous peoples, supporting and creating new opportunities for the development of indigenous activities.

Photographer and traveler Alexander Khimushin also shared his experience of interaction with the peoples of the North. He spoke about the heroes of his exhibition "The World in Faces", which opened in Dudinka at the end of May. He presented a collection of more than 170 photo portraits of representatives of different peoples of the world, taken in authentic national clothes in their places of residence. It was not easy and expensive to deliver the pieces from Switzerland. Norilsk Nickel assisted the photographer in doing that.

In his opinion, it is possible to “arrange an exchange - send our people to Africa, to South America. “And let their npeoples come here. It will be cool,” Komsomolskaya Pravda quoted Alexander as saying.

In addition, the family and tribal community of the indigenous peoples of the North Ayan implemented the Kustuk project, which became the winner of the Norilsk Nickel grant competition World of Taimyr. A public space has been built in the village of Heta, where everyone will find something to do. The area for recreation and active lifestyle is divided into three zones: games, sports and cultural and leisure. Children's swings, a sandbox, a carousel, a gazebo, slides, outdoor sports equipment were installed on the first two, and a concert stage was located on the third.
