The best country hotel made of wood in Russia will be chosen by the jury for a new award established by the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) and the All-Russian Architectural Award ARCHIWOOD. According to the Rosturizm website, projects of country hotels, campgrounds, glamping sites built in Russia from 2009 to 2021 can take part in the competition for a special prize in the category "The Best Countryside Hotel Made of Wood".

The applications may be submitted starting from May 13, 2021.

The expert council of the award included architects Nikolai Belousov, Totan Kuzembaev, Alexey Rosenberg, Vladimir Kuzmin and others. The jury will be formed from members of the expert council and representatives of Rostourism in August 2021. The curator of the award will be the historian of architecture Nikolai Malinin.

The jury will evaluate the architectural and environmental aspects of the project.

In recent years, ecological tourism has been gaining momentum and becoming more and more popular among outdoor enthusiasts.

According to the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova, “it is very important that more and more hotels appear in the country, which are not just infrastructural objects, but also some kind of works of architecture, with up-to-date engineering solutions, stylish interiors and facades that harmoniously fit into the surrounding landscape”.

You can apply for participation on the ARCHIWOOD Awards website.
