#BEST RUSSIAN REGIONS and MegaFon Operator No. 1 presented a ski slope in the Fun Cross Park format, which was called "Track No. 1 from Operator No. 1". As part of the project, part of one of the existing tracks on the North Slope (Vancouver) was converted into a full-fledged fan-cross track.

This is the first such route in the Sochi mountain cluster. Experienced specialists who were involved in the preparation of the Sochi-2014 Olympic tracks took part in its design. A sports and entertainment facility of this type and scale is a rarity for Russian ski resorts. It is distinguished by wide functionality, variability of use and original engineering solution. The track is 600 m long and up to 20 m wide. It took a month of preparatory work and 30,000 m3 of snow to create it.

As Sergei Chernov, Deputy General Director of the Rosa Khutor resort for the operation of the GLC, noted: “When creating the fan cross track, my colleagues from MegaFon used the most progressive approaches. Its geometry is designed in such a way that it can be used both for driving at speed on a rough track (cross-country), and for improving the level of riders in overcoming bumps and waves. At the same time, it can become a freestyle track for performing jump tricks or just an entertaining and walking track, which gives it the designation "fun". The presence of such a route greatly diversifies skiing and our guests, lovers of snowboarding and skiing, will get new skills and the most vivid impressions. It is very important for us to give them this opportunity.”

The track is designed for skiers and snowboarders of different profiles and levels, and is also ideal for fun skiing. Experienced riders who love the drive and the risk will be able to use it to drive at speed. Trick lovers - for pumping jump elements. For beginner riders, the track will be useful as a training spot to hone your terrain skills. For safe skiing, first of all, you need to familiarize yourself with the rules of conduct on this track, which are posted on the launch pad.

“Track No. 1 is part of a large strategic partnership between the Rosa Khutor resort and MegaFon, which combines sports, entertainment and technology in one project. We consider the launch of a unique track as an investment in the development of skiing and a technological answer to the request of those who love active recreation on the slopes. We hope that this will become an additional impetus for the promotion of domestic tourism,” Olga Babkina, Head of Traditional Media, Sponsorship and Partnership, MegaFon.

At the moment, Rosa Khutor has the largest ski area in Russia - 105 kilometers of slopes, which are serviced by 32 modern ski lifts. Fans of skiing and snowboarding have access to 52 tracks of all difficulty levels, two snow parks, training slopes, etc.

In addition to the sports and entertainment component, the fan cross track also has a practical mission. In case of worsening weather conditions and the closure of sections of the slopes at the upper levels, guests of the resort will be able to have an interesting time on this route.
