The Raspberry Festival will take place on July 15 in the village of Novoselki, Rybnovsky District, Ryazan Region. This was reported by the Tourist Information Center of the region on its website.
“Every year in July, the modest Ryazan village of Novoselki turns into a real paradise for the sweet tooth! At the festival, guests are always waiting for interesting master classes, interactive platforms, a variety of treats, performances by the best Ryazan artists,” the message says.
One of the main venues of the festival is the gastronomic bazaar, where you can taste different varieties of raspberries and dishes made from them.
According to tradition, a competition for the best crimson costume is held at the festival.
As noted in the information center, the place where the festival is held has always been famous for its abundant harvests of raspberries.
“According to the surviving data, in the 19th century there were so many of them that barges loaded with raspberries of various varieties were sent from Novoselki to Moscow along the Oka. Due to raspberries, the village flourished. To this day, the inhabitants of Novoselok grow delicious fragrant raspberries in their farmsteads. Moreover, it is bred here in a special way: bushes are planted not in rows, but in flower beds,” the report says.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
