The Compass Foundation organized Public air monitoring in the cities that were included in the Clean Air federal project, according to the Foundation's telegram channel.
Yesterday the project started in Omsk and Chelyabinsk.
Project experts will begin monitoring by identifying the so-called "gray" air pollutants - enterprises that are not state-recorded.
Next step will be air sampling and the local population polling. During focus groups and round tables, they will have the opportunity to meet with the environmental community and officials, as well as offer non-standard tools for solving problems, the press service of the foundation reports.
Following the results, proposals will be prepared to adjust the Clean Air project.
Representatives of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Russian Environmental Platform, the National Environmental Center, the Young Guard and other associations have already confirmed participation in the public monitoring together with the Compass Foundation.
Previously, the initiative was studied at parliamentary hearings in the State Duma on November 17.
