In the first three months of this year 305,197 tourists visited the Republic of Mauritius. This was reported to journalists by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism of the island state Steven Obeegadoo.

Answering the question whether it is realistic to achieve the authorities' plan to accept 1.4 million travelers from abroad by June 2023, the minister stressed that for him the main goal remains income from tourism.

In the pre-pandemic 2019, they amounted to more than $1.7 billion, Obeegadoo reminded.

The Republic of Mauritius is an island state in Southeast Africa with an area of more than 2,000 square kilometers.

First–class hotels with spacious beaches, marinas for yachts, luxurious restaurants and numerous entertainments are at the disposal of tourists on the territory of a natural paradise.

Russians do not need a visa to enter Mauritius if the trip lasts less than 60 days.
