Oil spill is being eliminated on the Angara River

460 meters of booms and 260 kilograms of sorbent are used to liquidate it. The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources reported that one of the ships caught fire near the boat station in Ershov Bay on the Angara River in the Irkutsk Region. Previously, when moving it, a fuel leak occurred.

Experts have already taken samples to determine the type of pollutant. Currently, pollution is blocked by fences, the spill area is being established, as well as the amount of damage caused.

Oil products are expected to be disposed of by the end of Thursday.
