Norilsk Nickel specialists took part in the inter- municipal conference “Sustainable development and safety of resort and tourist territories of municipalities”, held in the Stavropol Territory.
Experts paid special attention to the formation of a harmonized approach of the government and socially responsible business to the issues of ensuring the safety of tourist industry facilities and the development of the industry as a whole, ttelegraf.ru reports. Alexey Malinsky, Director of Norilsk Nickel’s Investment Project Management and Planning Department, told the forum participants that along with its core activities, the company attaches paramount importance to social projects, including those related to recreation and health resort services for employees and their families.
”Providing the labor collectives of enterprises belonging to the Norilsk Nickel group, which is 80,000 people, with the opportunity to spend a vacation in comfortable conditions that meet modern standards and norms is a non–trivial task that requires significant financial, organizational and logistical costs. The management of Norilsk Nickel understands this and contributes as much as possible to the development of corporate recreational and tourist infrastructure,” Malinsky said.
As an example he cited the introduction of a biometric identification system, sports and recreation complexes and exits to the beaches in the Sochi sanatorium “Zapolyarye”.
The conference was held with the support of the government Commission for Tourism Development, the Commission of the State Council on Tourism, Physical Culture and Sport, the relevant committees of the State Duma and the Federation Council of Russia.
