Reserves and national parks held a large-scale All-Russian action "Night of Geography". The event, organized by the Russian Geographical Society, took place last weekend in Russia and abroad.
According to the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, the project is aimed at popularizing geographical knowledge about nature and society. In addition, the action will help draw attention to the value of natural and historical and cultural heritage, landscape diversity of Russia, as well as increase the geographical literacy of the population.
All events were held in the evening and at night.
Thus, in the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve (the Krasnoyarsk Territory), a screening of films of environmental education was organized for students of the Shushensky Agricultural College. And the scientific and educational center of the national park "Krasnoyarsk Pillars" (the Krasnoyarsk Territory) held games on the knowledge of the regions of Russia and the seas washing Russia, a sightseeing tour of the educational locations of the scientific and educational center, a quiz "Reserved geography", an entertaining conversation about «Krasnoyarsk Pillars» and other specially protected natural areas.
The action "Night of Geography" has been held in the protected areas for the second year.
