The official website of the Kamchatka Territory reported that it is planned to create new tourist routes in the Kronotsky Nature Reserve. In particular, the Uzon-Geyser Ring route is currently being developed. The multi-day trip will include the most popular points of the reserve: the Valley of Geysers, the Valley of Death and the caldera of the Uzon volcano.
In addition, ecotourism is developing on Kronotsky Lake and the surrounding area. This year a new tourist route to Olga Bay was opened. Now tourists can enjoy beautiful views and even see whales.
The reserve is considering various ways to increase tourist flow to the Valley of Geysers by improving infrastructure. A design project has already been developed and design and estimate documentation is being developed.
At the same time, the staff of the reserve will take into account that active human influence can harm the vulnerable corner of the earth, which is the Valley. The number of tourists is also limited by the topography of this place. However, the Valley of Geysers is already actively visited by tourists, and there are no problems with anthropogenic load.
In the future, the management of the reserve plans to open a campsite near the Valley of Geysers, where tourists will be delivered by helicopter. There, travelers will be able to take walking tours of the protected beauty.
