The official website of the mayor of the capital announced the launch of the Save the Owl-Moscow chat bot in the Telegram messenger. Residents of the city will be able to report facts of cruelty to wild animals and their illegal use by photographers.

To file such a complaint, you need to write a chat message with the address where the violation was noticed, indicate the type and number of animals. Users can also attach photo and video evidence of what happened.

Upon receipt of the application, the Department of Natural Resources Management and Environmental Protection of Moscow will promptly conduct an inspection.

Last year, more than 40 cases of illegal use of animals by street photographers were stopped. The Center for Rehabilitation of Wild Animals of the Metropolitan Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection received 37 owls, three hawks, two primates and one python.
