The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Alexander Kozlov, during a meeting of the President of the Russian Federation with members of the government, reported on how ecotourism is developing in the country. According to him, over 2.3 million tourists have visited national parks since the beginning of the year. This is one and a half times more than the same period last year.

The minister said that 270 million rubles would be allocated to create infrastructure in national parks and reserves. Glampings, guest houses, museums and visitor centers will appear in specially protected areas, observation towers, pontoon bridges and moorings will be equipped.

In some territories, restoration work will be carried out, for example, in the Sochi National Park. There, since last year, access to the "Dragon's Mouth" was closed and tourists did not have the opportunity to see the 18-meter waterfall.
