Within the framework of the Year of Transport and Roads, which takes place at the resort, more than a hundred major events in this area will be implemented.

– Sochi occupies one of the leading places in Russia in terms of the number of cars per capita. More than 7.6 million tourists come to the resort every year, including by private transport. The loads on the road network are increasing, and this requires us to further modernize the entire road infrastructure. Our main goal is to make the movement at the resort as fast and comfortable as possible, - said the head of the city Alexey Kopaygorodsky.

In 2024, the number of buses running on methane in Sochi will exceed 300 units. Among other things, new small class buses from the Ulyanovsk SIMAZ enterprise will be launched on the resort's roads. For comfortable movement of passengers, the cabin has a modern climate control system, vandal-proof seats, USB ports for charging mobile gadgets. Specialized platforms for wheelchair arrivals and a place for their placement in the cabin are also provided for passengers with disabilities.

As part of the construction of the Dzhubga – Sochi highway, Avtodor has started the first stage – the construction of a 10-kilometer bypass of Adler. The total cost of the project is 73.5 billion rubles. It will reduce the load on the city's road network

- According to the results of diagnostics and appeals from residents, this year there are more than 100 sites on roads of federal, regional and local significance, including landslides. According to the national project "Safe high-quality roads", 59 streets will be repaired this year. This is almost 40 kilometers of the updated roadway," the Sochi administration reported.
