The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development told about the preparations for the Travel forum, which will be held from June 12 to 16 at VDNH in Moscow. Its events will be integrated into the program of the international exhibition-forum "Russia".
This year, the main topic of the forum will be international tourism. More than 20 countries have already responded to the offer to participate in the event. These include China, India, Thailand, Egypt, Algeria, Cuba and Tunisia. Negotiations are currently underway with representatives of international partners on the format of participation and the composition of the delegation.
The architecture of the business program contains eight main thematic areas: government policy, international cooperation, transport, creation of tourist products, investments in the infrastructure of the future, people and profession, marketing of territories and services, technology. The participants will discuss current trends and technologies in the development of the tourism industry and the role of related sectors of the economy in providing citizens with a diverse, comfortable and safe vacation within Russia. The key events of the forum will be a plenary session, an all-Russian meeting of the Ministry of Economic Development with the heads of regional tourism departments and bilateral meetings with foreign partners in the format of working groups and commissions.
It is expected that the Travel! forum will become an anchor event in the field of tourism and will help promote Russia's tourism potential in foreign markets. As part of the exposition part of the forum, tour operators and companies that produce goods and services for travelers will be widely represented.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed during the forum to provide citizens with the opportunity to purchase tours on site at favorable rates. He also recommended creating the most effective and understandable client path for tourists at the event.
Last year, more than 2,800 delegates from 70 regions of the Russian Federation and 11 foreign countries took part in the Travel! forum.
