More than 150 thousand passengers were transported by the Sochi train from Russia to Gagra

The Tuapse – Sochi – Gagra train has been running for three years, it has made more than a thousand flights. One of the important advantages of the train is the ability to pass passport control without leaving your seat. The train runs every day except Tuesdays. On the way there are stops at the stations Lazarevskaya, Loo, Dagomys, Sochi, Adler, Imereti resort, Veseloe and Tsandrypsh. The train consists of 10 cars, its distinctive feature is the interior, which is made in the style of the 1970s – 1980s. At the same time, the cars fully meet modern comfort requirements, there is a restaurant car, which is decorated in a retro style.

- The Sochi train serves as a tourist center, allowing you to get acquainted with the sights of Abkhazia. So, for three years, passengers have issued more than 12 thousand excursions. The most popular are excursions to the famous Ritsa Lake, as well as visits to cities such as Pitsunda and Gagra. Approximately 80% of excursions are purchased from conductors, 10% - on the website of JSC "Russian Railways" and at the ticket offices, another 10% are bought by passengers using special postamats installed in some train cars, - the press service of the Federal Passenger Company (FPC) reports.

This year, tourists are also offered new routes. Gastronomic tour "Taste of Abkhazia" with a visit to the trout farm, master classes in the production of cheeses and dried meat, or a trip to the village of Musser, where the cottages of Stalin and Gorbachev are located.
