The animal was found at a critically close distance from the Yaroslavl highway.
The press service of the Losiny Ostrov National Park reported that the moose was caught and taken to overexposure to ensure its safety. Now the elk feels well and is quarantined in a spacious aviary.
Specialists conducted a veterinary examination of the animal, took a blood sample from it and made a marking.
"After completion of the research, on the recommendations of experts, the elk will be released into its natural habitat," the national park noted.
