Mass climbing Avachinsky volcano to take place on August 12 in Kamchatka

The official website of the Kamchatka Territory reported that within the framework of the regional holiday "Day of the Volcano" there will be a mass ascent to the Avachinsky volcano. The sports and recreation event will take place on the territory of the Nalychevo Natural Park.

To take part in the mass ascent, you must register on the official website and arrive at the foot of the volcano on August 12, 2023 by 6:30 am. The start is scheduled for 7:00.

The report notes that for the duration of the ascent in 2023, a limit has been introduced on a one-time visit to the Nalychevo Natural Park to 2,000 people. At the same time, up to 200 cars can be in the park at the same time. A shuttle will run from the lower parking lot to the mass climbing site.

On August 13,  the winners will be awarded on the territory of the sports and tourist complex "Motopark Kamchatka".
