Leopard Day will be celebrated on the Sports Embankment of the capital of Primorye on May 27.
One of the main events of the holiday will be the Leopard Run.
"Dozens of people in leopard robes will run from the fountain of the Sports Embankment along the Path of Health," the Primorsky Territory tourist portal reported.
Participants of the race and the guests of the festival will be invited to take part in a large flash mob to draw attention to the problem of the conservation of the Far Eastern leopard.
"The task of the participants is to line up in a pre-prepared contour of the leopard's paw near the fountain and have fun," the message says.
Then a festive concert will begin with performances from the best vocal and choreographic children's groups, as well as performances by Primorye musical groups.
Guests of the holiday will also be able to take part in a defile competition for the best costume inspired by the Far Eastern leopard. The authors of the best outfits will receive gifts from the Land of the Leopard National Park and prizes from event partners.
The program also includes a master class on stone painting, face painting, educational games about animals, an “animal” twister and a drawing competition on asphalt.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
