Similar diseases that have arisen in one species can become a threat to the rare Amur leopard and the Amur tiger.

"A dangerous disease that has arisen in one species can affect other animals, such as tigers infected from prey. This can lead to the death of individuals and the loss of entire populations. Badgers, hedgehogs and a Far Eastern forest cat were examined. First, experts caught them with the help of containers with bait. Then the animals were weighed. Their body parameters were measured, smears were taken from the mucous membranes and blood samples, after which the animals were released into the forest. A blood test allows you to identify not only current diseases, but also a “medical history” for a lifetime.
