Kamchatka's Top Ecologists Vie for Geyser Expedition Prize

The press service of the Kronotsky State Biosphere Reserve has announced that winners of the Kamchatka Krai "Ecologist of the Year" competition will have the opportunity to embark on a thrilling geyser expedition. The competition concludes on May 15.

Professionals across various fields in Kamchatka, including scientists, students, schoolchildren, journalists dedicated to nature conservation, environmental activists, reserve workers, industrial ecologists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and others, are all eligible to compete for the grand prize.

The competition is conducted in three nominations: "Eco-responsibility", "Eco-leader" and "Eco-education". The first nomination will feature enterprises implementing projects in the field of environmental protection. The second will see the best environmental activists, eco-volunteers and public environmental inspectors compete. The third will feature environmental projects in the field of education, culture and enlightenment.
