The design of the Three Volcanoes resort park in Kamchatka will begin in 2021, and in 2025 it will be able to receive the first tourists, Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov said.
The "Three Volcanoes" resort is a vivid example of a large anchor project that can pull the development of the entire tourist infrastructure. The configuration is already clear: 2021-2022 the project will be designed, during 2022-2025 the construction will be underway, and in 2025 the resort will already be presented in full scale and must earn money and receive tourists," said Solodov.
According to the head of the region, the future tourist park can be compared to the Rosa Khutor resort located in Sochi. He recalled that the same investors are engaged in the creation of the Kamchatka facility.
It is assumed that the resort "Three Volcanoes" will include 40 km of ski slopes with a lift to the Vilyuchinsky volcano, and 1,000 hotel rooms will be built for tourists.
"There will be completely unique opportunities. For example, you can go downhill skiing or snowboarding into the crater of an active volcano, go from the other side, drive to the ocean coast and, after changing clothes, go surfing in the winter in the appropriate diving suit. That is, these are absolutely exceptional opportunities for extreme tourism", - said the governor.
At the moment, experts are engaged in infrastructure development projects.
According to Solodov, a project for a 30-kilometer asphalt road already exists.
The rest of the roads, for example, on the territory of volcanoes, will initially have primary coating. In terms of energy, the resort will be powered by a geothermal plant. “It is necessary to pull power lines, but calculations have already been made there,” added Solodov. In the future, the project of the resort "Three Volcano» will include berths in the Vilyuchinskaya Bay, in particular, for receiving cruise liners, according to the head of the region.
The Tri Volcano Park company was founded by Vladimir Potanin's Interros group and Sergey Bachin's structures to develop a project for a new tourist cluster in Kamchatka.
