Of late, instead of choosing popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia such as Thailand or Singapore, Indian tourists are now starting to gradually turn their attention to Vietnam, a destination with beautiful scenery, delicious food, and high-class resort services.

Facilitating Indian travel by providing visas on arrival, Vietnam seeks to bring passengers from the big cities in India’s West and Central-Southern region to the economic and tourism hubs of Vietnam. Operating direct flight from Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, Indians can travel to Vietnam and the Vietnamese cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc. Since July, the number of Indian tourists to Vietnam each month surpasses the figures recorded in 2019.

Post Pandemic, the demand of Indians choosing Vietnam as a desirable destination has continued to increase. The country has been actively encouraging Indians to visit through a series of bilateral conferences and activities.

Indians are now heading and planning a trip to Vietnam within 1 year waiting period for US Visa. According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), an average monthly rise of 51% was seen in the number of Indian tourists to Vietnam in the first 10 months of this year; A total of 20,681 Indian visiting in October and 82,066 in the first 10 months of 2022.

Focusing on connecting Vietnam & India ever closer than before, VietJet is currently operating 17 direct flights to India and has recently announced a set of direct flights that will connect Da Nang to Mumbai & New Delhi, bridging the 3194 kilometers gap between the two countries in approximately 4.5 hours.
