An ecological excursion route for people with visual impairments was created on the territory of the ecotrail "A short journey of 400 million years" in the Oglakhty section.
As part of the project, eight tactile information stands in Braille were installed. Their distinguishing feature is three-dimensional 3D printing, which allows you to "see with your hands" all the images of the overall composition of the stand.
Another element of the inclusive trail is the sculpture of a giant centipede on a lepidodendron. It is made in full size and clearly shows what sizes arthropods reached in the Carboniferous period.
The reserve noted that last year more than 200 people with disabilities walked along various routes. With the arrangement of the inclusive trail, it is planned to increase the number of such groups from 8 to 20 per season. At the same time, visiting the new route will be free for visually impaired people.
The trail has already been appreciated by the first visitors. They were representatives of the Abakan local organization of the All-Russian Society of the Blind, a boarding school for children with visual impairments and the Khakass Republican Special Library for the Blind. The guests were accompanied by a specially trained specialist of the reserve.
Fossils of paleoflora and paleofauna were found on the territory of the Oglakhty site. The paleontological excursion route allows you to make a short journey of 400 million years. Thanks to it, visitors will be able to learn about the grandiose path of the development of life on the planet from the first cell to modern man, as well as touch the paleontological finds that allowed scientists to recreate pictures of the past.
