The British travel guide Time Out has named the 16 best city breaks in Europe for 2022.
All cities were selected taking into account their cultural attractions, excellent cuisine, active nightlife and accessibility when traveling by train or bus.
The first place in the ranking was taken by the French Arles, which is primarily known for the fact that Vincent Van Gogh wrote here five versions of his "Sunflowers". Today, the city is famous for its arts district, where multimedia exhibitions, photo festivals and a light show are held.
Arles is followed in order of priority by Brno (Czech Republic), Kaunas (Lithuania), Odense (Denmark), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Oslo (Norway), Turku (Finland), Valencia (Spain), Sheffield (England), Trikala (Greece), Bihac (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Liverpool (England), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Milan (Italy), Freiburg (Germany) and Inverness (Scotland).
